The Bean Post Pub (745-9413) , located on ,76th Street and Fifth Avenue, is in the perfect hard-drinking location.. It is a block away from a bank, and an ATM, a 24-hour deli and a car service. They also have the coolest cash registers in the borough and an unbelievably cold tap.
There are 25 compilations that are primarily dance-related and you get 15 songs for only $5! There was no real wait to hear the music, until my friends and I came in and we began a trend.
There are literally 10 U2 CD's and plenty of No Doubt, Dave Matthews and Billy Joel. Other highlights are Neil Diamond, Fleetwood Mac (and a separate Stevie Nicks album), Fine Young Cannibals, Madonna, Candlebox and lots of Z100's best.
Anthony the Bartender said if everyone is laughing and dancing "then a song about dying comes on" he will reject it. Please also note that when a game is on, the jukebox is off limits. If you lose money too bad.
Every few weeks, the selection gets changed around a bit, Anthony Said.
